PIF Tick logo

PIF TICK is the UK’s only assessed quality mark for printed and online health and care information. Following our recent annual assessment, Lymphoma Action had confirmation that we continue to meet the high standards required for PIF TICK accreditation. PIF TICK was introduced by the Patient Information Forum (PIF) as a way of helping people easily identify information as evidence-based, up-to-date and easy to use and understand. You can visit our website to find out more about PIF TICK, our approach to health information and see our full range of books and online information.

Best Practice Timed Pathway for blood cancers

Lymphoma Action, in partnership with Leukaemia UK and Myeloma UK, is proud to be working with the NHS England Cancer Programme to create the first Best Practice Timed Pathway (BPTP) for blood cancers.

A BPTP is a structured guide for healthcare professionals, outlining the diagnostic tests and timeframes for a patient’s journey from suspected cancer to the start of treatment. The new pathway is designed to help meet the 28-day faster diagnosis standard, which aims to ensure patients receive a diagnosis or have cancer ruled out within 28 days.

“We're proud to be at the forefront of developing the very first BPTP for blood cancers, working with the NHS and our charity partners. The new pathway won’t just make things better for people with lymphoma, it will also set up important foundations for future healthcare improvements across the country.

Ropinder Gill, CEO, Lymphoma Action

This initiative is expected to significantly improve care and outcomes for people with lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma, building on the success of similar pathways already in place for other cancers.
