Our anniversary
For four decades, we’ve been here for people affected by lymphoma - offering support, sharing information and building a community so that no one has to face lymphoma alone. As we enter our 40th anniversary year, we’re taking a moment to celebrate everything we’ve achieved together, and to look ahead at what we can accomplish in the years to come.
Did you know our story began in 1986, when two people affected by lymphoma saw a need for a support group for patients and families? There was not much information available at the time, so the focus was on literature and a helpline - and these are important services that we still offer today! We were set up by people affected by lymphoma, for people affected by lymphoma - and we’re still led by our community’s needs today.
In the months and years ahead, we will make sure your voices are heard loud and clear as we push for improvements in lymphoma diagnosis, treatment and care. We have been ramping up our policy and advocacy work, working in partnerships with others to influence decision makers and supporting our volunteers to act as patient representatives on a number of key projects. Watch this space for bigger and bolder awareness campaigns as well! None of this would be possible without your support, so thank you for being part of our community.
You - our supporters, volunteers, fundraisers, families and friends – are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’d love you to be part of this special milestone in 2026 – a year dedicated to celebrating our community and the progress we’ve made, side by side.

Could your workplace support us in 2026?
Many of our most valued corporate partnerships have started with someone already connected to us – a supporter taking on a challenge, someone close to the cause, or a reader of Lymphoma Matters. That personal link can be the first step toward something bigger.
Workplace support can take many forms, from fundraising and team challenges to sponsorship, volunteering, or longer-term partnerships. It doesn’t need to be through a formal Charity of the Year scheme, and it doesn’t have to start with a big budget. Often, it begins with a simple question: “Could we support Lymphoma Action at work?”
With our 40th anniversary year ahead and exciting plans in the pipeline, it’s a brilliant time to start that conversation. You already understand the difference our work makes, and that makes you one of the most important connections we have.
If you think your workplace might be interested in supporting us in some way, our Corporate Partnerships Manager, Chantelle, would love to hear from you. There’s no pressure, just a chance to explore what might be possible. Please email Chantelle at c.brown@lymphoma-action.org.uk
Our 2025 Big Give Christmas Challenge appeal – the biggest ever!
In the run up to last Christmas, we asked you to save the dates for our Big Give Christmas Challenge appeal and help us raise £35,000 in just one week. The appeal, which ran from 2 December to 9 December and gave you the chance to have your donations doubled at no extra cost, was our most successful ever!
Together, you raised an incredible £35,582 that will help us support more people newly diagnosed with lymphoma - offering expert information and a community that understands, right from day one. Thank you.
