Show your support with a Forever Flower

We are very pleased to announce that Forever Flowers are back for a limited time only!

This year the flowers come in three colours of teal, pink and purple. Each flower has been delicately hand crafted by award winning sculptor Paul Cox. Made from stainless steel with a galvanised zinc stem, these flowers can be used as an ornament to add a splash of colour to your garden or home. They are a unique item that will compliment any space.

Each Forever Flower costs £25 plus £2 p&p and every purchase could cover the cost for one person to receive emotional support and information from our specialist helpline.

Whether you buy a Forever Flower as a gift, in memory of a loved one, or to remember a special occasion, your contribution will help us to continue providing vital support for anyone going through a lymphoma diagnosis – now and in the future.

Your questions: leaving a gift in your Will

Leaving a gift in your Will is a simple way to make a huge impact. No matter the size, gifts from legacies help to ensure that we can keep providing vital services to help anyone affected by lymphoma – now and in the future.

We get asked lots of questions about gifts in Wills. While we are unable to provide legal advice, here are our answers to some common questions.

Why should I make a Will?

Having an up-to-date Will is the only way to make sure that loved ones, and any charities or organisations you care about, are provided for in the way that you wish after your death. Without a Will, the law decides who gets what and how much.

Is making a Will expensive or difficult?

Making a Will need not be either expensive or difficult. To find a solicitor in your area, visit The Law Society website. If you want to write your Will online, please consider using our free Will writing service through Bequeathed. The accredited legal professionals at Bequeathed will prepare a fully advised Will free of charge for anyone over the age of 18. If you would prefer to speak to someone there is also the option to use their telephone service. Contact us on 01296 619400 and we can help arrange this for you.

What if I want to amend an existing Will?

A solicitor can assist in making a change to an existing Will by adding a codicil (a change). This needs to be signed and witnessed in the same way that a Will is. Do not make changes to your existing Will without professional legal help as you may accidentally render it invalid.

What about tax?

Gifts in Wills to Lymphoma Action are exempt from inheritance tax. Currently inheritance tax on non-charitable bequests above the threshold of £325k is charged at 40%, but is reduced further if you give more than 10% of the net value of your estate to charity. The threshold can vary over time and more information can be found on the HMRC website.

What if I don’t have much to leave?

All gifts make a big difference to our work and are greatly appreciated. Together, we can make sure no one has to face lymphoma alone.
