For primary school aged children

Luca has lymphoma is a story for children of primary school age with lymphoma to read with their families. Each page has colourful illustrations to accompany the text which explains a bit about lymphoma and how it might be treated.

We’re grateful to the expert and lay reviewers who have supported us with this book, which was produced in collaboration with the children’s charity Young Lives vs Cancer.

For you if you have CLL or SLL

We’ve teamed up with Leukaemia Care to produce our newly updated Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) book. This book outlines what CLL and SLL are, how they are diagnosed and monitored, and the available treatments. We’ve also included personal experiences from people affected by CLL and SLL and lots of tips to help people live well.

Lymphoma Action welcomes new Trustee

Lymphoma Action is delighted to welcome Melanie Brittain, who joins the Board of Trustees as Treasurer. Melanie has had her own journey with Lymphoma Action, benefiting from the Charity’s services after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2014, specifically primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma, going through R-CHOP chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Melanie has volunteered for Lymphoma Action as a Buddy, supporting others through their treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It is so important to know that you are not alone as you go through treatment and Melanie is an advocate for the information and support that Lymphoma Action provides.

Working at a senior level in finance for over 17 years and being a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants, Melanie’s role as Treasurer brings her skills and experience together to support the Charity. She lives with her cats and dog in Worcestershire and is often found walking in the forest near her, or Morris Dancing in various towns around the country.

“I am excited to be taking on the role of Treasurer on the Board of Lymphoma Action. It enables me to bring my skills and experience to help the Charity grow and to say thank you for the support provided during my own treatment.

Working closely with medical experts

Our work is supported and informed by our Medical Advisory Panel (MAP), a group of over 30 expert clinicians, nurse specialists and scientists who all specialise in the field of lymphoma and related disciplines.

We work together to support those affected by lymphoma, increase awareness of the disease and improve the standard of care through education and research. The MAP assist in the development of our publications, review our patient information, advise on our services and contribute to our conferences and study days. We have recently expanded our Medical Advisory Panel and are delighted to welcome new members
